Choosing the right file depends on the material you're working with, the type of work, and the level of precision required. Here’s a quick guide to help:

1. Choose the Right File Shape:

• Flat files – Great for general surface shaping and edge smoothing.
• Half-round files – Perfect for both flat and curved surfaces.
• Round files – Ideal for enlarging holes and refining curves.
• Barrette files – Tapered and flat on one side, perfect for detailed work near edges.
